Expansion of operating theater capacity at Alfried Krupp Krankenhaus Rüttenscheid: Investment in modern patient care
The Krupp Foundation, which has been the owner of the Alfried Krupp Hospital since 1971, continuously supports the hospital in its further development. The goal: a progressive hospital in the service of people. In mid-November, after a construction period of 18 months, an important milestone was reached for the Alfried Krupp Hospital in Rüttenscheid: the opening of four new operating theaters on the 7th floor of the building. These modern operating theaters with natural light and a view of the city are located in the rooms of the former Clinic for Gynaecology and Obstetrics, which was closed in 2022. The new operating theatres are due to go into operation at the beginning of 2025 and will be available to all surgical specialties for both inpatient and outpatient operations. The foundation funded the conversion with € 2.4 million.
This investment strengthens the position of the Alfried Krupp Hospital as a highly modern and efficient center for high-performance surgical medicine. With its advanced technical equipment, the hospital not only focuses on quality and efficiency, but also offers an environment that meets the needs of patients. The modern atmosphere of the new operating theaters helps to increase patient confidence and well-being. In addition, great importance was attached to energy efficiency during the renovation.
